Our MD is a Local Hero!!

Our MD Steve Morrisey has been awarded an Aylesbury Vale Community Award as 2009's Local Hero!
Extract from The Bucks Herald, Weds Dec 2nd 2009:
'After the courageous act of saving local resident Les Kibble from drowning in the Tring reservoir in January, it is of no surprise that Steve Morrisey from Bierton has been voted as this years Local Hero.
However, modest Steve doesn't believe himself to be a hero but insisted his reaction to be entirely natural when confronted with the situation: "I did what anybody else would have done, I was first one the scene and wasn't about to walk away and so of course just tried to help him like anyone would."
Always choosing to see the positive in a situation, including one where a man is drowning in a local reservoir, the father of two added jovially: "Actually, it was a bit of a result saving Les, since I managed to get rid of an awful Christmas jumper I had been given, which was used to mop up the blood coming from Les' head."
