InterQuest Group has created a new media division to focus on talent supply and sourcing for its customers in the web, film and TV sectors. Part of the successful ecrm people division, it will focus on finding staff with skills for the digital distribution technologies that support new media.

Steve Jacobs, formerly of SBS, has been drafted in to lead this new team. He has a proven track record in the new media staffing sector, as well as the skills to lead the new division.

Steve Morrisey, MD at ecrm people, commented: “The demand for talent in the new media industry is about more than just ticking boxes for technical skills. It requires creativity, design skills and other ‘soft’ skills that, all too often, traditional IT recruitment organisations fail to understand.  We aim to plug this gap by bringing together a team of experienced consultants from within this field who are equipped to meet its specific needs when looking for new staff.”
